GEO BEET®Tire Ballast is a liquid, agricultural product made from de-sugared beet juice. When GEO BEET is used as a tire ballast it helps give tires extra traction and improves tire pulling power, balance, and stability to prevent tip-overs.
Compare to Rim Guard® Tire Ballast.
Adds weight at 11 pounds/gallon.
Non-toxic and won’t harm wildlife, farm animals, pets, or crops.
Non-corrosive to rims, and works great with tubeless tire applications.
GEO BEET® is a de-sugared beet juice additive which is blended with chlorides for road solutions including dust control. GEO BEETTire Ballast uses the same de-sugared beet juice as a non-toxic, non-corrosive ballast for tires in farm machinery and heavy construction equipment.
Liquid, ready-to-use de-sugared beet juice
Provides extra tire traction and improves tire pulling power, balance, and stability to prevent tip-overs
Non-toxic won’t harm wildlife, farm animals, pets, or crops (in case of spills)
Non-corrosive to rims, works great with tubeless tire applications
Non-flammable
Very heavy – weighs about 11 lbs/gal. Given the minimum space inside the tire, it maximizes the weight per cubic inch
Freeze-proof to -35 degrees F
Easy and Simple Fill Procedures
The secret to filling a tire with a liquid is an air-water valve adapter
1. Rotate tire to 12 o’clock
2. Deflate and remove tire valve core
3. Attach the adapter to valve
4. Gravity fill or use a simple transfer pump. Fill tire to 75%.
GEO BEET TIRE BALLAST vs CALCIUM CHLORIDE
CaCl2 is toxic to animals, corrosive, and will kill crops
Geo Beet and calcium chloride weigh about the same and freeze-proof to same temperature
GEO BEET TIRE BALLAST vs METHANOL, GLYCOLS (anti-freeze or windshield fluid)
Methanol, glycols are highly toxic to animals
Methanol, glycols are flammable
Methanol is very light about 6.5 lbs/gal.Windshield Deicing Fluid only weighs 8 lbs/gal. Very poor utilization of the space inside the (Geo Beet weighs almost 75% more than Methanol)
GEO BEET TIRE BALLAST vs LEAD WHEEL WEIGHTS
Lead is very expensive, about $1.50 per pound. Geo Beet is at least 33% less expensive.
